He runs through it, and is narrowly cut in half by it closing. If he hadn't charged through, he would've.

Then we find out after his fight with the Bloodknives that his message to Egwene from a few hours before, in regards to the Bloodknives, wasn't received. It was given to a palace servant to relay, not written by Gawyn himself, but I would guess that the order would get carried out since he is the prince and all.

Since it was only a matter of a few hours that these two events occured, it would be reasonable to assume it was the same kinswoman on duty.

The only description of her is that she's dark haired. Also, she is obviously strong enough to make gateways. I venture to guess it is one of those who traveled with Elayne to Cairhien. This includes Alise, Sarasia, Kema, and Nashia. Alise is not strong enough to travel, so she is out. Sarasia is described as grandmotherly, so she's probably out. Only two can make gateways, but it doesn't say which two.

So I predict that either Kema or Nashia is a darkfriend and will be involved in a plot against Elayne et al in AMOL.Russnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4833204375789249557.post-39093971243124155032010-11-24T15:30:01.663-05:002010-11-24T15:30:01.663-05:00I'm not sold on your first argument but the se...I'm not sold on your first argument but the second one is solid. Not only did she employ Lounalt, but Elayne, in the Towers of Midnight, thinks of her main goal being power and ensuring her personal position. When added to the fact that she is certainly amoral, I think it likely she is a Darkfriend.Mollynoreply@blogger.com
