The article on possible sources for character names starting with L has been published in the Reference Library. There are a few big names in this article: present characters such as Lan and Logain, and historic ones such as Lews Therin (who arguably has the most complex name of all WOT characters), Laman Damodred, Lothair Mantelar and Luthair Paendrag.
